beaches & stunning mountain ranges on the coastal fringes.
In the interior there is wide-open spaces consisting of
semi & arid regions. The country is immensely diverse,
unique in the world & very special. Combine these features
with remoteness for a holiday with a difference. Access
to many areas can only be gained by 4wd vehicle. See our
wildlife in its natural habitat. Aboriginal cultural experiences
are a feature of some tours. Cross the awe inspiring Simpson
Desert with its 1100 sand dunes & the splendor the native
wild flowers provide against its red backdrop. Tackle
the overland telegraph line to Cape York. Relive the adventures
of the man from Snowy River or travel into the remoteness
of the Flinders Ranges (the most painted landscape in the
southern hemisphere)
Driving
in Australia.
Australia
is a land of vast distances & conditions that should be
respected even with all of today's technology. There are
a high percentage of unsealed roads, not to mention those
off road sections. Conditions can change dramatically due
to weather. All this makes a strong case for travel with
an organized tag-along that has professional guidance, Outback
or off road travel in Australia requires a different set
of skills. A full day of driver training is an inclusion
for all our extended tours. An international drivers license
or a license in English is required. Travel insurance is
highly recommended.

to remote areas of Australia not often visited by overseas
tourists. Aussie characters & outback icons. You see the
real Australia. Full itinerary designed to ensure you visit
the best points of interest with the flexibility to cover
contingencies. All camp fees & entry permits. Interpretation
by experienced & professional guides. Convoy management
& back up to ensure maximum safety. · Help with camp routine
includes Hot shower even during bush camps-Toilet facilities
– campfire-hot plate. Large shelter during inclement weather.
Message service by arrangement. Hire of UHF radio if required.
Pre departure training & information session. Celebratory
dinner at end of each stage.

Please note:
Remote
area travel in Australia can be unpredictable at times &
vehicle problems or track closures due to weather are always
a possibility. As a result we cannot guarantee our ETA at
journeys end. Often it is one or two days travel to the
tour start point as well. Plus, there is the training day
prior. Ensure this is taken into consideration when arranging
your flight. Allow a couple of extra days just in case.
The training day is also used to discuss the itinerary,
answer your questions & inspect the vehicle. This is normally
the day before departure. Days are well paced with plenty
of stops at points of interest & photo opportunities. Arrival
at the evening campsites is planned for mid afternoon allowing
time to relax. Longer tours are broken up into sections
with a short rest period at the end of each & dinner for
all at an iconic Aussie pub.
Catering
All
long expeditions are self-catered. We assist with meal planning
as required. The New South Wales Safari is catered except
for lunches.
