Bush Pubs & Outback Icons

On outback lifestyle is a unique one, often full of hardship and challenges, it has a way of bringing out the best in people.

Some of the characters are quirky and most definitely colourful but decidedly genuine with their hospitality. A great way to truly experience this very Australian life style is to join us on this holiday adventure.

Many city venues have tried to recreate the quirky character of Outback pubs. If the walls of these historic pubs could talk, they'd have plenty of yarns to tell you, from stories of courage and survival, to anecdotes about colourful characters and the odd 'tall tale'!
Outback pubs serve as a meeting place for townsfolk and stockmen from surrounding stations, so are a great place to meet the local characters and immerse yourself into the lifestyle of the community.
Your evenings will be spent soaking up the atmosphere over a hearty meal prepared by the local.

The route includes those roads and 4WD tracks less traveled to link us up with a collection of Dinki di Aussie outback icons. Each one with it's own claim to fame. For e.g. the oldest licenced pub in Queensland, the further most pub from the sea in Australia. More often than not the significance of these pubs is to do the with the old characters, including bush poets, hardy stockman and even the odd bushranger. These places are perfect venues to wash away any of the days dust.

South West Queensland and the channel country is the scene for your adventure and as you may well expect it is not just about the pubs. We visit two of Queensland's most remote National Parks and a pristine lake system as well as traverse vast pastoral holdings with family history dating back to the era of the Durracks.
This is remote country and travelers need to be well prepared. This is where group travel can bring peace of mind. Your guides have extensive knowledge of the area and are well equipped to handle any contingency.

The tour has been designed with families in mind with plenty of stops as well as photo opportunities for those holiday memories.

So if you are looking for something a little different for the family holiday, this could be it.
